The Relationship before the Relationship

First off let’s understand what exactly a situationship is. A situationship is sort of like a relationship without the title, but that is where most of the confusion begins.

For a comparison, one would picture the rapper Lil Durk and the hip-hop artist Dej Loaf. These two artists are not together however, they explain their situationship in the song “My Beyoncé.” Some say they have never gone together, but I believe they have a “fling” or a situationship. I have some advice when it comes to situationships. 

When it comes to a situationship one should be able to converse and ask the major question that will determine everything, “What are we?” Some individuals believe questioning is being aggravating; however it is being clear about what you want. I also advise one to not get their feelings involved too deeply.

Understand that things between you and them are not official until one is able to have that conversation and decide what is best for them. These two suggestions should help anyone who feels as if they are in a situationship and should allow themselves to never get in one.
